Answers to Frequently Asked Questions, which may be expanded if necessary.

1. How will I know if I am one of the best?
After all the agents have been submitted, internal play-offs take place. The best agents will take part in the final in Zürich on 16.01.2009. The creators of these agents will be informed by mail by 19.12.2008 and should respond by 26.12.2008. Should a reply not be forthcoming by this date, Avaloq reserve the right to eliminate the agent from the competition and to reallocate the place.

2. How works the Battle Day?
Battle Day takes place in-house in Zürich and will last about half a day. The agents will play live against each other and the programmers/programmer teams will explain their strategy and approach. The aim is to determine that the programming and algorithm have been developed independently, as well as providing the opportunity for closer contact among participants. The evening will round off with an aperitif, so that no-one must go home hungry!

3. What happens after Battle Day?
After the Battle Day and the relevant presentations, the participants of the Marocco event will be informed individually.
