A bit about the role

The Transversal Capabilities Domain manages the following areas: Technical Application Security, Financial Data Feed and Global Batch Team and Object Modeling. Your focus will be on designing and delivering technical solutions to clients’ requests related to Financial Data Feed area.

Your key tasks

  • Analyze clients’ business requirements, propose and implement technical solutions in Avaloq environment.
  • Understand Avaloq data, Kernel Layer Business Objects, Workflow and Rules.
  • Parameterize and test new functionalities through Avaloq Scripting.
  • Present technical solutions in line with clients ‘needs, data architecture, existing application code and security principles.
  • Partner with Business Analysts to understand their market data requirements and objectives.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for sourcing, analyzing, and managing market data.

A bit about you

We are seeking a skilled Market Data Specialist to collaborate closely with our Business Analysts to translate market data requirements into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have expertise in market data providers such as SIX or Bloomberg, coupled with a strong understanding of financial markets. As a Market Data Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering market data solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders.

  • Solid practical experience of the full development life cycle, including parameterization activities using Avaloq Script, ICE, Toad, SQL or PL/SQL.
  • Foundation knowledge on designing, implementing and configuring new operations in core objects as person, business partner, container, position, money account, asset, country.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.

It would be a real bonus if you have

  • Experience in managing third party supplier and/or external providers.
  • Proven experience working with major market data providers, such as SIX or Bloomberg or other main providers.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and trading mechanisms.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Familiarity with data management principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
