A bit about the role
Banking Operations is a strategic service offering from Avaloq that provides back-office services to banks in a Banking Processes as a Service (BPaaS) model. We are organised as a global business area, running state-of-the-art back-office services with industry-leading automation, quality and risk standards. Our highly skilled and experienced staff manage a wide range of services covering securities, payments, regulatory, master data, corporate actions and tax, among others.
We’re experts in creating true added value for our clients, which is why we always seek out creative and client-oriented individuals with drive and passion for our team.
We are currently looking for student assistants to support our teams in Berlin. You will be deployed in various teams as required and get to know many of the services that we provide for our customers in Germany. In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Banking Operations Germany.
Your key tasks
- You will support the day-to-day business in various teams.
- This includes the monitoring, planning and execution of the daily activities to be provided in accordance with the service level agreements agreed with the customers.
- Supporting the team in testing new functionalities and regular releases.
- Collaboration in projects to implement legal requirements and as part of the introduction of new technical functionalities.
- Support the team in improving the functionalities of the Avaloq core banking system and related processes in order to increase efficiency and reduce operational risks.
A bit about you
- You are studying economics or a degree programme that includes economic aspects
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and flexibility
- Ability to work in a team and a positive attitude
- Analytical mindset and proficiency with MS Office
- Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced and complex environment
- Structured and meticulous way of working, coupled with a quick grasp of new ideas
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
It would be a real bonus if you have
- experience in the operational processes of a bank, e.g. securities, corporate actions or client master data
- practical experience in working with the Avaloq core banking system
- expertise in process optimization methods
