Banking Specialist - German Tax
A bit about the role
Your Team:
Providing excellent business processes as a service, the Operational Tax Team in Berlin and Dusseldorf is supporting its customers in operational tax matters. With Avaloq’s state-of-the-art banking software and smart reliable processes, the Tax Team aims to provide efficient value add services in a constantly changing tax environment.
Your Responsibilities:
Monitoring, planning, and executing daily activities related to tax reportings in accordance with the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) agreed with clients.
Key tasks will include:
- Various German tax services, e.g. tax statements production, TaxBox and/or Church tax activities
- Regulatory reporting to various regulatory or tax bodies in Germany
- Supporting the team improving the functionalities of Avaloq’s core banking platform and the related processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational risks
- Collaboration in projects to implement legal requirements and as part of the introduction of new technical functionalities
- Test execution of regressions and extensions of the corresponding subject areas
- Target-orientated communication with customers and internal interface partners
A bit about you
What You Bring:
- Degree in economics with a focus on taxes or training as a bank clerk or comparable training
- Experience in the back office of a bank and in dealing with tax-related banking issues
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and flexibility
- Good team spirit and a positive attitude
- Analytical mindset and confident handling of MS Office
- Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced, and complex environment
- Structured and careful way of working, paired with a quick grasp of the situation
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
Bonus Points For:
- Experienced in cross-operational processes, e.g. Income, Securities or Corporate Actions
- Practical user knowledge of the Avaloq core banking system
- Know-how about process optimization methods
