Associate Business Controller
A bit about the role
As Business Controller for Cloud & Infrastructure and Banking Operations Controlling, you will be a member of the Group Business Controlling Team. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to deadlines. In this context, your financial performance analysis and business insights will be crucial for the steady improvement of Avaloq’s business growth and profitability. Your Business Partners, such as Division Heads, Product Owners, and Project Managers, will rely on your facts-based financial reports with gap analysis and action plans to achieve high-reaching goals. Your talent in monitoring, steering, and communicating financial performances is your best skill to support Avaloq’s success story. In this role, you will work in close cooperation with the Group Controlling and Finance departments.
Your key tasks
- Monitoring, analysing, and reporting of Projects & Business Cases
- Driving project forecasting, coordinating gap analysis and gap-closing processes
- Ensure and develop tools for capacity planning
- Developing & updating of specialized Reports
- Coordinate and steer capital expenditure planning
- Support in key processes such as financial planning, preparation and monthly book closing and regular review meetings with Business
- Review, tracking and planning of leasing cost
A bit about you
- A controlling academic background (i.e., bachelor’s degree in finance or business economics)
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, i.e., controlling, preferably within the financial or IT industry
- Good communication skills
- Good know-how in enterprise resource planning systems, such as SAP or similar
- Solid experience in Microsoft Office applications and especially in Excel
- High degree of confidence and flair for digital products
- Exhibits excellent analytical skills, the ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment, and meeting overall objectives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal and collaborative skills
- High degree of initiative and dependability
