Avaloq wins ‘Innovation’ prize at Systems in the City 2012
The advanced Wealth Management & Private Banking application supplied by Swiss software company Avaloq has won the ‘Innovation’ prize at the UK Systems in the City 2012 event.
José Manuel Carro, Managing Director at Avaloq in the UK said, “The Avaloq system is acknowledged as having the most comprehensive support for its users. It’s really great to have the panel appreciate the innovative nature of its design that underpins this. After all, it is these innovative elements of its design that makes it unique in today’s market.”
The Avaloq system is a real-time, fully front to back 24*7 application used by leading wealth management, retail, universal and private banks with a 100% success record of implementation.
The event was held at the Law Society in London on the 14th June with former Sky news business editor Michael Wilson presenting the awards. About 40 suppliers were nominated for the awards, which were presented in front of an audience of stockbrokers, fund managers and investment banks.
Michael Wilson said: “The behaviour and performance of the financial community is very well reported in the press but little is said about the firms and people that underpin the operations of the business. Unless firms have a solid and reliable systems infrastructure, they are taking huge risks. These Awards recognise the efforts which go on very much behind the scenes and all nominees and winners are to be congratulated”.
