Avaloq appoints new Country Head for Switzerland and Liechtenstein as well as new Global Head of Sales

Mathias Schütz is to take over as Avaloq’s Country Head for Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein from mid-August. He will also become CEO of Avaloq Sourcing (Switzerland & Liechtenstein) AG, the Swiss service centre for the Avaloq Group. In addition, Marc Stähli will join Avaloq on 1 July as its new Global Head of Sales.

Mathias Schütz will be responsible for the domestic market operations of the world-leading fintech company. As CEO of Avaloq Sourcing (Switzerland & Liechtenstein) AG, he will also further develop the company’s leading position as a provider of SaaS (software as a service) and BPaaS (business process as a service) solutions. He will be able to draw on his experience as CEO of ARIZON Sourcing AG, where he and his team implemented a modern, scalable Avaloq platform for Raiffeisen Switzerland. Prior to this he had already worked for Avaloq, including roles with responsibility for various international market regions.

Mathias Schütz will succeed Tobias Unger, who has decided to leave the company. To ensure a smooth handover, Tobias Unger will support Mathias Schütz for a transitional period.

As the new Global Head of Sales, Marc Stähli will lead the global sales organization in a newly created role. Over the last four years he has been jointly responsible for the growth of Crealogix AG as its Senior Vice President Global Sales, and he now will support Avaloq’s global sales organization with his team.

Marc Stähli and Mathias Schütz will both report to Paco Hauser, Head of Global Markets at Avaloq.

Jürg Hunziker, Group CEO of Avaloq, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mathias and Marc, two highly skilled and experienced executives who will drive our market organization forward. The experience Mathias brings from his previous roles at Avaloq and from the Raiffeisen project make him the ideal replacement for Tobias, while Marc’s extensive sales experience in the fintech sector will help us accelerate Avaloq’s continued growth both in Switzerland and internationally.

“We would like to thank Tobias, who has played a key role in developing our market presence in Switzerland and Liechtenstein and our Swiss service centre since he joined us in 2016. We regret his decision to leave Avaloq and wish him all the best for the future, both personally and professionally.”
