Junior Business Analyst
A bit about the role
Are you a recent graduate or early-career professional with a strong academic background and a passion for financial services, regulation, and technology? We’re looking for a Junior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in Zürich, where you’ll help shape the future of tax solutions for the banking industry.
In this role, you’ll contribute to the development and improvement of functionalities that support both local tax regimes (such as Germany and Switzerland) and international regulations like FATCA, CRS, and QI. You'll collaborate with experienced business analysts, developers, and product experts as you build your expertise.
This is an excellent opportunity to build deep domain knowledge in financial regulation and core banking systems, while contributing to the evolution of Avaloq’s product suite.
Your key tasks
- Take ownership of the analysis of tax regulations and financial requirements from clients and regulators
- Help Translate business and regulatory needs into functional specifications
- Collaborate closely with developers, testers, and product managers throughout the development process
- Contribute to maintaining and enhancing Avaloq’s tax-related functionalities
- Ensure high-quality documentation, testing, and quality assurance
- Develop a broad understanding of Avaloq’s core banking platform
A bit about you
- A degree in business informatics, economics, finance, computer science, or a related field
- A keen interest in financial services, regulatory frameworks, and tax compliance
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of SQL or a willingness to learn and apply it
- Excellent communication skills in German and English (both written and spoken)
It would be a real bonus if you have
- Internship or project experience in banking, consulting, or technology
- Familiarity with tax regulations like FATCA, CRS, or QI
