After reaching a decision, the special panel of judges, composed of professionals and experts from the world of banking and innovative technologies, awarded the ‘Grand Prix Banque & Innovation’ to Avaloq for its strengths and vision in innovation. The awards ceremony was part of the 2017 ‘Banque & Innovation’ fair that was recently held in Paris.
Innovation has always been at the heart of Avaloq’s business strategy, which puts an average of 50% of its revenue from proprietary software each year back into its solutions. Over time, Avaloq has proved its flair for innovation through initiatives recognised in all financial centres, and more recently with its offering for digital transformation, BPaaS and its co-innovation initiatives in the form of its new ecosystem called the Avaloq Software Exchange, which is made up of its ‘fintech app store’ for web banking and its developer portal developer.avaloq.com for freelancers. This innovation is also produced by its lab of about 350 research workers and countless exchanges with its customer community. On top of this, Avaloq has established partnerships with many universities worldwide to explore the concept of future banking.
“I’d like to dedicate this award to the innovative engineers,” said Thomas Beck, Group Chief Technology Officer Avaloq. “They have been innovating since the birth of our flagship product, the Avaloq Banking Suite. Today, we have an open ecosystem that is ready to welcome as many partners as possible. We have now entered the era of co-innovation, because the bigger our ecosystem is, the more innovation can show its full potential to satisfy the expectations of our customers’ clients.”
