A bit about the role

In this position, you will be part of an independent, agile Swiss expert team focusing on all aspects of the financial asset class of structured products. The current team consists of developers, quantitative analysts, data center operators, a project manager, and an IT architect. We prefer proactive but humble individuals who know what they don't know and feel comfortable in declaring this accordingly. Further we are looking for someone who is appreciating the opportunity to address improvements in tickets on their own and bring them to our weekly planning meeting.

Your key tasks

  • Support us in maintaining, improving, and sometimes refactoring our 8 main applications and databases of our micro-services framework
    • Develop tickets (frontend, backend, database) according to specification and in collaboration with ticket reporter
    • Conduct functional tests of your development
  • 2nd level support for production operations
  • Create your own tickets and present them in the planning in order to address improvements you noted
  • In alignment with our IT architect keep our application landscape technically up to date
  • Conduct code reviews or pair reviews if requested

A bit about you

We believe this position requires

  • A further education in software engineering (master's degree).
  • You require an experience of 5-8 years
  • You need to have solid experience and know how in programming in
    • Node.js
    • MS SQL
    • MongoDB, and Angular
  • We expect you further (as an absolute must) to be highly experienced in using GIT in combination with Linux shell command line.
  • We work with Docker and would expect you to support internal end users on their daily Docker usage.
  • You should be familiar with RESTful APIs and be able to guide and consult our ticket-creating stakeholders on these principles.
