A bit about the role

Your team (Banking Core APAC & MEA – Financial Instrument & Risk)

The Financial Instrument & Risk team is a dynamic team of Business Analysts and Software Engineers based in Singapore and the Philippines. The team supports our SaaS customers in the region by maintaining existing solutions and developing new features. You will work closely with your teammates, with other related teams in the same division, with back-office users, with clients, and with partners. You will help provide innovative solutions to meet market demands and help shape the back-office landscape of tomorrow.


Your key tasks

  • Analyse and address inquiries about the Corporate Actions and Settlement module
  • Subject matter expert possessing the relevant business knowledge to provide hands-on support
  • Proficient in MT54x and MT56x SWIFT MT messages and their corresponding SESE and SEEV SWIFT MX messages
  • Understands front to back functionality surrounding various Corporate Action Events (CAEV) such as Dividends, Spin-Off, Rights Offer, Distribution, Stock Split, etc.
  • Independently create complete system requirements specifications and provide / validate effort estimates concerning new enhancements.
  • Act as liaison between Avaloq, customers, and 3rd-party providers for the development, implementation, and enhancement of existing solutions
  • Implement modules of the Avaloq Banking Suite
  • Provide consulting services regarding functionalities in your areas of responsibility
  • Execute complex business training sessions
  • Testing and quality assurance
  • Coach juniors and external staff

A bit about you

What you need

  • University or bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering / Banking / Economics or equivalent working experience
  • Profound know-how of Custody Products, particularly on Corporate Actions
  • Good problem solving with strong analytical and conceptual abilities
  • Code comprehension and intermediate coding abilities
  • Organised and takes an autonomous approach towards work
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with strong influencing skills
  • Good command of both written and spoken English
  • Technical affinity, open minded and collaborative approach
  • Avaloq Banking Suite customization experience


It would be a real bonus if you have:

  • in Custody Banking Operations
  • in Back-Office Settlement Operations
  • In other Wealth Management IT applications
