A bit about the role
Revenue Recognition Expert acts as the point of contact for all revenue-related questions and revenue related controls between Sales, Deal Desk and Legal
Your key tasks
- Respond to questions around revenue impact of potential contract clauses, review draft business cases and provide timely feedback
- Understand deal circumstances
- Review contracts and respond to each change that require validation or recalculation of revenue stream
- Perform accounting analysis and reach accounting conclusion on deals
- Oversee qualifications of revenue trigger evidence, facilitate adequate evidence to be ready timely
- Prepare revenue memo documentation and follow-up action documentation trails
- Support the internal quality control process surrounding revenue recognition and billing activities
- Support the internal and external audit process
A bit about you
- CPA or similar education
- Experience in a Big 4 Accounting Firm
- Strong acumen in applying International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Thorough understanding of IFRS 15 - Revenue from customer contracts, preferably in a Software or Fintech environment
- Highly motivated with the ability to work cross-functionally, as well as independently
- Proficient in English, orally and in writing
