A bit about the role

We are looking for a Team Head to oversee the Securities Processing team with a staff of 5 specialists.

  • Managing, organizing, overseeing Processing of stock exchange trades and Securities transfers free of payment (bonds, equities, eft, funds, e.g.) and Settlement trades on the market
  • Develop your people through inspiring leadership, foster a culture of openness and excellence including cross collaboration and build a strong talent pipeline
  • Control actions/ coordination with clients, trade departments and custodians
  • Cash and stock reconciliation management for Securities Processing and Transfers
  • Support in the development and implementation of technical improvements of Avaloq's core banking platform, identify possible improvement
  • Work with internal stakeholders to further improve the Settlement and Processing services as well as the customer satisfaction, supporting change and implementing it in daily processes with impacts on the team
  • Ensure an efficient and high-quality service delivery for your team, in line with the agreed Service Level Agreements
  • Establish positive relationships and collaboration with the custodian’s network and Clients to improve the overall quality of the service
  • Escalation points of contact for the Trade Processing and Securities Transfer teams
  • Be a change agent and role model to drive the implementation of change and efficiency initiatives, including contributing to the process of new client on-boarding

A bit about you

  • University or higher education degree and/or operational experience in Banking Operations
  • Min. 3 years of proven managerial experience in banking operations organizations with the ability to deliver in a fast-paced, multi-cultural and global environment
  • Work experience in settlement or security transfer, including knowledge of financial instruments
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, Swift and Secom messages MT54X
  • Good communication with a process-orientation and ability to understand complex situations
  • Pro-active and can-do attitude with a high level of integrity and reliability
  • Great flexibility and willingness to learn
  • Strong operational risk understanding

You will get extra points for the following

  • Deep understanding of the interconnection between the various back-office activities (e.g. Settlement and Cash Management)
  • Knowledge of Avaloq's Banking Core System
  • Knowledge Omgeo / CTM / Alert
