A bit about the role

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and skilled business analyst to join our team. As a business analyst in the Credit Core team, you will become a subject matter expert in the credit domain and play a vital role in the success of our software solutions. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, including product owners and product managers, to gather requirements, define specifications and deliver high-quality solutions that meet our clients’ needs. You will actively engage with our clients, participate in client workshops and assume ownership of the product’s functionality. With your commitment to software maintenance, you will support and secure the success of our clients’ banking operations.

Your key tasks

  • To participate in client workshops and actively engage with clients to gather requirements and create detailed functional
  • To work on product backlog refinement and support the product owner with the product roadmap
  • To work closely with software engineers and the team architect to ensure the accurate implementation of requirements and perform final business tests
  • To act as a subject matter expert in credit, supporting our Sales team with specialist questions and requests, enhancing your knowledge and providing valuable insights to your colleagues
  • To take ownership of the functionality of the Avaloq Core Platform, which is used by all Avaloq clients in the credit sector worldwide
  • To collaborate with other teams responsible for technical frameworks and specific functional components
  • To engage in knowledge sharing and collaboration with business analysts across different countries to address market-specific requirements and work towards standardized products
  • To provide input for product documentation and review artefacts created by our technical writers
  • To support our existing clients by analysing reported incidents and responding to service requests

This role can be located in Zurich or Bioggio.

A bit about you

  • A university degree in economics/finance or a completed bank apprenticeship
  • Previous professional experience in the banking industry with a focus on credit
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients
  • Proficiency in gathering requirements, creating functional specifications and performing business tests
  • Fluency in German is highly desirable as our main credit client base is located in the German-speaking regions of Europe
  • A strong passion for continuous learning and growth in the credit domain

It would be a real bonus if you have

  • A strong understanding of credit processes, products and regulations
  • Experience in working in an agile environment, preferably with kanban methodology
  • Technical understanding or affinity, preferably in software development, is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
