Deploy & Configuration Engineer
A bit about the role
The Deployment & Configuration Engineer is responsible for managing and orchestrating the end-to-end deployment lifecycle across all environments, ensuring that changes are delivered safely, consistently, and on schedule. Acting as a central coordination point, the role bridges Project Delivery and Service Operations, aligning project timelines with operational stability requirements.
The position serves as the quality gate for all deployment activities, enforcing standards, governance, and process adherence. It also acts as the release orchestrator, coordinating multiple technical teams (infrastructure, platform, middleware, and application) to ensure readiness, manage dependencies, and resolve blockers impacting deployment execution.
Additionally, the role is accountable for environment management and test readiness from an infrastructure perspective, ensuring environments are stable, properly configured, and aligned with release schedules. Continuous improvement, automation, and standardization of deployment practices are key expectations, along with participation in on-call rotations and weekend deployment activities when required.
A bit about you
- Proven experience in deployment, release management, or environment management within enterprise IT environments
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure)
- Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams across multiple domains
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation practices
- Solid troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical dependencies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and provide clear status reporting
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with multiple concurrent initiatives
It would be a real bonus if you have
- Experience with Kubernetes and container-based platforms
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform)
- Experience in regulated environments (banking, insurance, or similar)
- Familiarity with ITIL or similar operational frameworks
