Headquartered in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), Aurora has been established to meet the growing demand for institutional-grade fund administration services in the Gulf. The region is increasingly positioning itself as a hub for institutional fund structures and specialized financial services, attracting regional and international market participants. As a new, dedicated fund administration brand within the fast-growing BTA group, Aurora provides governance-led fund administration services for institutional clients, including fund accounting, investor services, financial reporting and regulatory support.
Under the partnership, Aurora will implement the Avaloq platform as its core system for fund administration. This will enable a highly standardized and efficient operating model tailored to the firm’s requirements, with end-to-end processes running on a unified platform.
The Avaloq platform will enable Aurora to automate fund administration processes, strengthen controls and support regulatory reporting requirements through a single, integrated operating environment. The platform provides comprehensive fund administration functionality, including fund accounting, automated net asset value (NAV) calculation and validation, with real-time booking of fund transactions.
Aurora will further benefit from integrated data management for funds, automated earnings booking and income processing, and an intuitive dashboard for viewing individual and multiple funds. Avaloq’s open architecture also enables Aurora to seamlessly integrate third-party providers, including custodians and market data vendors, giving the firm access to additional services through a single platform.
As Aurora expands its business in the Gulf region and beyond, it can leverage Avaloq's multi-entity, single-instance architecture (MESI) to launch new entities and enter additional markets while operating on a single platform. This approach enables efficient scaling and helps the firm accelerate expansion without duplicating operational resources.
Rohit D’Souza, SEO and Board Member, Aurora FundAdmin Limited, said: “With the launch of Aurora FundAdmin Limited, we are setting a new standard in fund administration for institutional investors. We want to establish a strong operational foundation from the outset, and the Avaloq platform provides the level of automation, control and data consistency we need to run our business efficiently. It enables us to serve institutional clients effectively while supporting our growth ambitions. Avaloq is a partner that shares our focus on precision, transparency and operational discipline.”
Akash Anand, Managing Director, Middle East, Africa and India at Avaloq, said: “We are proud to have been selected by Aurora FundAdmin Limited as the core system for its fund administration business. This builds on our existing partnership with its group company, BTA Finance Limited, and reflects our strong track record supporting financial institutions in the Middle East. Dubai continues to attract new financial institutions from around the world, while a new generation of regional players is expanding the local ecosystem and creating a more comprehensive range of specialized financial services. We look forward to working closely with the team at Aurora as they launch their operations in the DIFC to deliver high-quality fund administration services.”
