Business Analyst - Payments
A bit about the role
As a Business Analyst at Avaloq, we will place a large amount of trust in you and give you the opportunity to contribute quickly. You will be working in an environment where formal and on-the-job training and collaboration is a priority. You will be guaranteed with lots of learning opportunities.
The Payment services team consists of different products, including Gateway and authentication services. The gateway team covers a wide range of services from our unified payments API, to our card and bank payouts, smart payment routing and notifications products. The authentication team seeks to improve performance and support to the payment industry in delivering a global, inter-operable and consistent user experience across all e-commerce channels and connected devices.
Our core tech stack consists of .NET Core 6, C#, AWS (Fargate; DynamoDB; Lambda; SQS...), Docker, Terraform, Elasticsearch, Grafana and Datadog. We also use Java and Go in some areas.
- Evaluating and analysing payment processes to identify areas for improvement and efficiency
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translating them into payment solutions, documenting them in our internal tools (JIRA, Confluence, Service Request platform)
- Designing and building functionalities to implement business solutions in Avaloq
- Remaining updated on payment industry regulations and standards
- Troubleshooting customer issues and internal requests, managing client interaction during testing phase, taking care of bug fixing and potential change requests, providing help resolving issues and answering questions
- Collaborating with developers during implementation and testing of new and existing functionality and bugfixes
- Working with colleagues from different locations and cultures
- Participating in Agile practices and ceremonies and working according to the Agile principles
A bit about you
- Strong evincible experience within a similar role
- Track record of developing in PL/SQL and Oracle database or similar
- Experience in process analysis and engineering
- Experience in defect triage
- Fluency in both English and German
It would be a real bonus if you have:
- Experience in working with Agile methodologies
- ACCP certification
