Software Engineer - Accounting
A bit about the role
The Accounting, Cost & Fees EU team, part of the Banking Core Domain, is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Software Engineer to join our innovative team in Berlin, Germany. - Design, develop, and implement robust accounting software modules and features
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for accounting systems
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using best practices and design patterns
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation
- Optimize existing accounting software for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date with the latest accounting regulations and ensure software compliance with relevant standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and methodologies
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality software deliverables
A bit about you
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Software Developer, preferably in financial or accounting software development
- Developing in PL/SQL for the backend
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Eagerness to learn and understand complex business concepts in the financial domain
- Experience in banking software development is a plus
It would be a real bonus if you have:
- ACCP certification
- Experience in working with Agile methodologies
