Senior Data Engineer
A bit about the role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to act as the technical cornerstone of our security data lake. You will be responsible of ensuring it is high performing, securely governed, and architected for advanced data analytics and reporting. This isn't just a pipeline role; you will own the schema design, data correlation strategies, and the integration layer that connects our disparate data sources into a cohesive, high-utility intelligence layer.
Your key Responsibilities
- Tech Leadership: Lead and coordinate the Security Analytics roadmap and team, including project planning, prioritization, and resource allocation.
- Architectural Ownership: Design and implement scalable data schemas that balance storage efficiency with query performance.
- Integration & Correlation: Build robust ELT/ETL pipelines to ingest diverse data sources, ensuring high data quality and complex correlation across datasets to provide a 360-degree view of business entities.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize data lake performance through advanced partitioning, indexing strategies, and compute management.
- (Extra points) AI/ML Foundations: Apply machine learning and AI techniques (e.g., anomaly detection, clustering, risk scoring) to enhance threat detection and security insights.
- Collaborate with Security Engineers and Cloud Specialists to ensure data availability and quality.
- Identify trends, generate insights, and communicate findings to security, risk, and executive stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide team members, establishing best practices in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
A bit about you
Technical Requirements
- 5+ years in Data Engineering with mastery of Python or Java and expert-level SQL.
- Deep experience with cloud data platforms and orchestration tools.
- Proven track record of designing schemas that handle large-scale data while remaining intuitive for end-users.
- Experience with data governance tools and implementing fine-grained access control.
- Experience with Cloud Service Providers, such as Oracle Cloud (OCI), AWS or Azure.
- (Extra points)Familiarity with MLflow, Tecton, or similar tools used to serve data to ML models.
