Software Engineer-ACP/Avaloq/PLSQL Developer
A bit about the role
Purpose: Shape engineering direction, solution patterns, standards, and capability development for the Pune Standing Team change-delivery organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in Core Banking Systems or similar banking technology environments for mid- to senior-level positions.
- Strong technical knowledge of Avaloq Script and PL/SQL. Experience in one or more high-level programming languages will be an added advantage.
- Lead technical analysis and implementation of complex business requirements, system enhancements, and change initiatives.
- Design, develop, and implement robust Avaloq Script and PL/SQL solutions, ensuring quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Independently resolve complex technical challenges, evaluate implementation trade-offs, and address quality findings identified during code reviews and testing.
- Review code, database logic, test coverage, technical documentation, and solution designs to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Facilitate technical clarification workshops, manage cross-functional dependencies, and drive effective technical and delivery decisions.
- Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving, with a quality-conscious, self-motivated, and goal-oriented mindset.
- Be an effective team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, including proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Demonstrate openness to continuous learning and willingness to undergo the required training to achieve Avaloq Certified Customization Professional (ACCP) certification.

Expected knowledge and skills
- Expert+ ABS experience and expert-level Avaloq Script, Oracle, SQL/PLSQL, and solution design capability.
- Strong ability to define technical direction and pragmatic engineering guardrails in regulated banking environments.
- German language skills are a strong advantage for senior stakeholder engagement and client-facing technical leadership.
