Test Specialist
A bit about the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Test Specialist to join our dynamic team in Bioggio, Switzerland. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software to the client.
Your key tasks
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex software applications
- Proactively propose and adopt best practices and methodologies for test, including harnessing AI
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects
- Analyse test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders
- Conduct performance testing and identify areas for optimization
- Work closely with project manager, development teams and other stakeholders to manage risks and issues
- Design, update and execute functional and business test scenarios and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring their reusability
- Support test environments issues to ensure testing can be completed on time (baseline definition and maintenance, assessment on environment readiness)
- Document and evaluate the result of the testing, investigate testing deficiencies
- Adhere closely to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts
- Support and maintain automated testing frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Test Management processes and procedures
A bit about you
- University degree in Computer Science, or similar
- Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience within the banking/financial services industry, especially in testing function
- In-depth knowledge of Test concepts and methodology
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills in English with an emphasis on client service and presentation
- Must be an excellent team player and willing to share knowledge as well ad high level of stress management ability
- Working knowledge of QC/ALM, JIRA, MS Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving competences
- Team player and strong client-orientation
- Ability to work in a highly challenging, fast-paced and complex environment
- Experience with Avaloq banking system solution is a bonus
