A bit about the role

Part of the Banking Operations Asset Servicing division, you will lead the Corporate Actions Processing team, which consists of multiple highly qualified Banking Specialists, providing excellent business processes as a service. Our mission is to deliver Corporate Actions services to our global clients. With Avaloq’s state-of-the-art banking software and smart reliable processes we aim to provide efficient value add services in a constantly changing banking environment.

Your key tasks

  • Proactively manage the 2 Corporate Actions Pre-Processing teams, in line with best market practices and ensure high quality standards in service delivery. The main processes involved are the creation of the Corporate Actions Events within our Avaloq platforms, allowing our Corporate Actions Processing teams to follow up on the instructions and the payment of the proceeds as well as the processing of the Corporate Actions notifications which requires to be performed in a timely & extremely accurate manner
  • Build relationships and keep an ongoing contact with Avaloq Sourcing customers and custodians to continuously update and improve our standards
  • Continuously develop the 2 Team Heads and the staff by upgrading their skills and feeding their experience with continuous learning
  • Plan and maintain profitability (costs versus revenue) while balancing the resources needs
  • Maintain the highest control standards and deal with the upcoming audits
  • Analyse, re-design, upgrade and improve on an ongoing basis the current organization, processes, and platforms to increase efficiency/automation and decrease operational risks
  • Lead/support the teams for the projects, the testing of new functionalities and/or the regular releases
  • Monitor KPI’s and KRI’s with the target of improving the overall client’s satisfaction, reduce the risk and increase the efficiency

A bit about you

  • 2-3 years of experience in Corporate Actions processing
  • At least 3-5 years of formal people management experience within an operational area, ideally with remote management experience
  • Open-minded, team player, rigorous and autonomous
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Client focus
  • High flexibility and resilience
  • Willingness to learn and manage people
  • University degree or apprenticeship in banking or equivalent education or equivalent experience
  • Fluent in English

It would be a real bonus if you have

  • Any other languages as German, French or Italian
