A bit about the role

Your team

As a banking expert you will be part of Avaloq’s global banking operations division (GBO). With our services we are the back office for more than 30 banks globally and ensure their processes run smoothly, compliantly, and efficiently.

Within GBO, our client onboarding team made up of different domain experts makes sure to support prospects and new clients on their journey to become a Banking Operations customer. This means to help them understand our offering, explain our standard processes, identify deviations, and help them to adopt our standard for maximum efficiency all through an onboarding project.

Your mission

  • Active contribution to the success of Banking Operations projects, initiatives, or requests in the case of:
    • Sales cases (e.g., Sales support)
    • Banking Operations Implementation projects (e.g., project delivery)
    • Strategic Banking Operations initiatives
    • Support of daily operations
  • Deliver best in class project support as a Banking Specialist representing Banking Operations from the Sales phase to post-implementation
  • Spearhead Banking Operations project related tasks and achieve defined objectives and deliverables
  • Provide recommendations to external stakeholders (in & outside of Avaloq) with their extensive professional experience and specialized market knowledge
  • Act as the intermediary between Avaloq Banking Operations and other stakeholders within the organization. Harmonize task management between teams, departments, and regions
  • Ensure a quality driven, smooth transition from project into business as usual
  • Provide ad hoc support to other Banking Operations teams
  • Uphold and enforce defined Global Implementation Methodology and processes whilst continuously seeking to improve processes, tools, and activities. Challenge the status quo
  • A strong desire to improve one’s own business knowledge

A bit about you

What you need

  • Excellent knowledge of market standard Banking Operations services (i.e., Masterdata Management, Payments, Securities, Reconciliation, Asset Servicing)
  • Excellent knowledge on project management
  • Banking education, Bachelor's degree or equivalent with good knowledge of financial instruments and regulatory requirements
  • 5+ years’ work experience in the banking industry
  • Strong sense of responsibility and solutions oriented with high level of integrity and reliability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English and German (any other language is a plus)
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn
  • Being adaptable
  • Flexibility in case of occasional and time-limited support across locations aiming to cover specific tasks (e.g., post go-live stabilization)
