A bit about the role

As Business Partner Controller for Product & Technology, you are member of Group Business Controlling Team. In your role as experienced professional, you are responsible for the cost and deadline-driven controlling of the Software Development. In this context, your analysis of financial performance and insights in business are crucial for the steady improvement of Avaloq’s business growth and profitability. Your Business Partners such as Heads Divisions, Product Owners and Project Managers rely on the facts-based financial reports with gap analysis and action plans to achieve the high-reaching goals. Your talent in monitoring, steering and communicating of the performances is your best skill to support Avaloq’s success story. In your role, you work in close co-operation within Group Controlling and Finance department.

Your key tasks

  • Monitoring, analysing and reporting of monthly performance of business area, strategic initiatives and projects
  • Driving periodically project forecasting, coordinating gap analysis and gap-closing process
  • Host performance measuring meetings such as performance and business case reviews
  • Coordinate target setting and budgeting at different hierarchy levels of divisions
  • Review and approval of commercial contracts related to area of responsibility
  • Prepare and implement the material for monthly book closing (accruals, completion degree of projects)
  • Your reporting line is to the Head Business Controlling in Finance

A bit about you

  • Controlling background (i.e. Bachelor Degree Finance, Business Economist)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, i.e. controlling, preferably within the financial industry or IT industry but graduate are welcome too
  • English fluent
  • Good know-how in enterprise resource planning system SAP or similar
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office applications and especially with Excel
  • Experience in software development projects (as project controller or project manager is an advantage)
  • High degree of confidence and flair for digital products
  • Exhibit excellent analytical skills, the ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment and meet overall objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • High degree of initiative and dependability
