A bit about the role

Our team is responsible for the shaping and developing Avaloq's award-winning digital assets offering bridging traditional finance and decentralized finance. Our offering targets not only existing Avaloq banks but aims at enabling the digital assets ambitions of all types of traditional financial institutions, thanks to a Core Banking System agnostic product architecture.

We strongly believe in design thinking and "user-centered" design, working very closely with UX designers and validating our ideas.

We are looking for passionate Agile Product Owner to join our team and bring these innovative designs live.

Your key tasks

  • Collaborate closely with the product manager to ensure alignment of the development team's output with the strategic product roadmap
  • Make tactical decisions to maximize business value, in harmony with the product's strategic direction
  • Create, manage and prioritize the product backlog, balancing strategic directives and immediate business requirements.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Work with the business analyst to transform high-level requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Track and optimize development team KPIs; propose and implement improvement measures
  • Provide input for planning and offering documents, such as effort estimates and forecasting, in collaboration with the domain head
  • Participate in defining the product roadmap, alongside the product manager and architect
  • Foster team development for the implementation of new features, overseeing the process from requirement gathering to user acceptance testing
  • Define and manage the product release plan, overseeing the product versioning process
  • Maintain exemplary product documentation, including use cases, feature descriptions, acceptance criteria, and technical specifics
  • Ensure high-quality assurance through automated and manual testing
  • Facilitate in-depth workshops with clients and partners, and conduct product demonstrations for various stakeholders, aiding in sales efforts

A bit about you

  • High level knowledge of following components:
    • Backend development technologies
    • Frontend development technologies
    • UX design
  • Blockchain technologies
  • Understanding of banking value chain (especially, trading, settlement, and custody)
  • Good knowledge of Jira and Confluence

It would be a real bonus if you have

  • Avaloq Core Banking Platform
  • Cloud and infrastructure knowledge (incl. public cloud, kubernetes, security methods, etc.)
  • Workflow tools Flowable
  • UX design tool Figma
