A bit about the role

In our Integration Domain, we provide banks a sustainable path in combining Avaloq and ecosystem products value propositions.

You will be surrounded by smart, highly capable people who are passionate to build the next generation of innovative applications to address the upcoming challenges of integrating our Avaloq Core Banking systems with different third parties being able to cope with all the new technologies.

In Data Propagation team we evolve and maintain solutions that allow to export data from the Core Banking system via Kafka.

We are looking for passionate Backend Developer to join our team to help us in the development and maintenance of our integrations products.

Your key tasks

  • Work as part of an agile development team in line with the product roadmap
  • Design and implement Back-End Integration products and services
  • Improve code quality via Unit and Integration tests
  • Follow and promote best coding practices within the team
  • Perform code reviews and coach junior team members
  • Take ownership and responsibility for his area of expertise

A bit about you

  • University or higher education degree in computer science or engineering or similar
  • At least 5 years of experiences with back-end competencies: Java 8+, Spring Boot, API development
  • Extensive experience in building and configuring products utilizing different integration patterns, preferably within the financial industry
  • Knowledge / experience in OpenShift
  • Knowledge / experience in Liquibase, Spring JPA, Spring Security, JMS and Kafka
  • Testing frameworks: JUnit, Mockito
  • Good knowledge of SQL
  • Git, Gradle and Jenkins CI toolchains
  • Basic Linux operating system knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of Jira and Confluence
  • Fluency in English

It would be a real bonus if you have

  • Knowledge of PL/SQL
  • Experience with SQL statements performance analysis in Oracle (AWR reports)
  • GraphQL
