Global Head of Talent Acquisition
A bit about the role
The global HR team at Avaloq counts about 50 Avaloqers located in all key Avaloq locations in Europe and APAC. We are all focused on supporting Avaloq’s growth and success through meaningful and impactful people initiatives. As the global Head of Talent Acquisition you will be joining the Global HR Leadership Team and reporting directly to the Head of HR. As part of the leadership team you will not only drive the agenda for Talent Acquisition but also support the strategy, the development and the transformation of the entire HR Function.
We are seeking an experienced Head of Talent Acquisition to lead and oversee the talent acquisition strategy and initiatives cross our global organization. Reporting directly the Head of Human Resources and leading a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists you will play a crucial role in shaping Avaloq’s workforce by attracting, engaging and retaining key talents.
Your key tasks
- Develop and Execute Talent Acquisition Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive global talent acquisition strategy aligned with the company's objectives, growth plans and location strategy.
- Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a small high-performing talent acquisition team across different regions, ensuring alignment with company goals and values.
- Employer Branding and Candidate Experience: Develop an Employer Branding strategy and drive initiatives to enhance employer branding and create a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Global Recruitment Operations: Take charge of the entire recruitment lifecycle, exploring avenues for automation, digitization, and streamlining. Enhance our model of hiring manager self-managed recruitment process and establish clear service levels for Talent Acquisition, encompassing sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding, to boost efficiency, efficacy, and minimize time-to-hire.
- Business Partnership and Collaboration: Increase business partnership of the Talent Acquisition team by positioning TA as a strategic advisor to business leaders on talent-related matters. Providing insights, market intelligence, and best practices to help inform hiring decisions and optimize recruitment strategies. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including HR Business Partners, hiring managers, and senior leadership, to understand talent needs and align recruitment efforts accordingly.
- Metrics and Analytics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), utilize data and analytics to track recruitment metrics, measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition efforts, and identify areas for improvement.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the talent acquisition’s remit, ensuring diverse candidate slates and promoting an inclusive hiring culture.
- Vendor Management: Develop a strategy on external recruitment vendors, manage relationships with external recruitment agencies, technology vendors, and other partners to support recruitment efforts globally.
- Compliance and Legal Considerations: Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations across all regions and provide guidance on best practices in recruitment.
- Continuous Improvement: Solicit feedback from business partners on their recruitment experience and use this feedback to continuously improve Talent Acquisition processes and services. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and innovative recruitment technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation in talent acquisition processes.
A bit about you
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or HR certification preferred.
- At least 10-12 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multi-country recruitment efforts including India and/or the Philippines.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful talent acquisition strategies in a global organization.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving capabilities, adept at leveraging data and metrics to drive decision-making.
- Deep understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and experience integrating DEI initiatives into talent acquisition practices.
- Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations across different regions, with a focus on compliance and risk management.
- Familiarity with recruitment technology and tools, including applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HRIS platforms.
