A bit about the role

The Banking Core Team in the Application Management Services is providing application support (maintenance and small enhancements) on Avaloq's core platform for the functional area for our SaaS clients in Europe.
The Team covers the topics related to financial accounting, cost and fees, legal reporting and tax.

This role would ideally suit someone who has worked in any of the above functions and/or someone who comes from a development background with experience of PL/SQL.

  • Accounting
  • Cost & Fees
  • Legal Reporting
  • Financial Instruments & Risk

What you will do

  • Analyze clients’ business requirements, propose and implement technical solutions in Avaloq's core platform in close collaboration with clients and other stakeholders (other internal teams or 3rd party providers).
  • Analyze and implement bug fixing and solutions enhancements.
  • Present technical solutions in line with clients ‘needs, data architecture, existing application code and security principles.
  • Build trust worthy relations with internal and external stakeholders as developers, PMs and Client Managers.
  • Ensure the high-quality service to the customers in terms of quality of the deliverables, meeting of the SLAs and efficient client communication.

A bit about you

  • Strong proven track record of working in a similar role ideally in the fintech or financial sectors
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
  • Excellent client-orientation and communication skills
  • Full professional competency in spoken and written German and English
  • Business know-how in Regulatory requirements (DE, LUX, UK) and reporting or in financial accounting standards are a strong advantage
  • University degree in Computer Science/Physics/Engineering/Mathematics or comparable education
